Being a Member – Chapter 4: Margareth’s (Virtual) Appreciation Tale

As you may know, Friskis is run entirely by volunteers but it is actually our members that represent the heart of our organisation.
Not only do they keep the doors open but it is their enthusiasm and commitment that drives our volunteers to best serve them. We do things together as a group because that is what we are. It is a symbiotic relationship. Every instructor, host and volunteer all began their Friskis career as a member.
For this reason we asked our members to share their Friskis experiences and why they love moving and sweating with us so much.
We are Friskis. These are our members.
Chapter 4: Margareth’s (Virtual) Appreciation Tale
Even though I moved from France to Belgium ages ago, I only discovered Friskis in the summer 2019 in Parc du Cinquantenaire. I had a free session of Jympa and I fell in love: the movements, the music, the good spirit of the participants, and the energy that was coming out of these outdoor sessions was incredible, and everyone was friendly. Everything was so different from all the classes I had been to before. ( kinetix, independent gym club, zumba class and yoga). The thing I liked the most was the fact that nobody felt physically superior. You do what you can, and your trainer is someone like you
The fact also, that the classes are spread over the whole week, gave me the chance to choose when I could go without being afraid of paying for a membership and ending up not going there.
I love the good energy of Magda, the strength of Nolwenn and the smile of Alice.
I have already talked about my super dynamic jympa sessions to a lot of friends. I tried to bring my teen daughters too, until school was closed, I was the only one into it. I hope that with the time, and thanks to the great videos on you tube, I can push my daughters to do some sessions with me.
Keep on posting videos on youtube because they are very helpful…thank you all for organizing them in this hard time.
