Help Friskis supporting “Les Lucioles” for the 20K
Published on March 10, 2019
So we are proud to announce that this year Friskis is partnering up with the crèche “Les Lucioles“. It is a special integrated crèche in Lasnes that accepts “normal” children as well as children with special needs up to the age of 6 years. It was founded in 1990 by parents who were confronted with a significant lack of structures that can accommodate children with a physical and/or mental handicap, with the idea in mind to accept “normal” children as well in order to profit of the beneficial effects of mixing the 2 groups together.
Why “Les Lucioles”?
The son of two of our members has a rare genetic disease and cannot attend a normal crèche. The search for a spezialized institution was very difficult since these places are extremely rare in and around Brussels, but finally they found a place in “Les Lucioles” and are completely satisfied with this institution which they want to support:
“They really take extraordinary care of the children, and give them all the support and help that they need, with full dedication and professionalism.”
Unfortunately the budget from the state is insufficient for guaranteeing the daily work, that’s why they rely on donations, support from non-government organisations like CAP48 and other special actions for buying new equipment, paying specialized people and organising educative events for the children.

In order to make it easier for the crèche to keep track of the donations linked to our special 20K action, please make sure to clearly indicate in the bank transfer the following message: “Friskis 20K 2019″.
