Introducing Barbell Soft And Barbell Interval Sessions

We are proud to announce a brand new type of session this semester: Barbell (“weight lifting”).
You are all cordially invited to try out and be part of Tarja’s Barbell Interval (70MIN) session every Saturday at 10:00AM-11:15AM and Antonio’s Barbell Soft every Sunday at 3:30PM-4:30PM at JIMS Fitness Jourdan (Rue Gray 54, 1040 Etterbeek).
Barbell Interval is a combination of efficient strength training and tough cardio. If you like sporty and straightforward exercise, then Barbell Interval is for you. The exercises are simple and efficient. You follow clear instructions to cool music, using a barbell, weights and a step to work out. You adapt the weights yourself and can use anything from just the weight of the bar or add a number of extra kilos.
At the end of the Barbell Interval class, 15 minutes of cardio training is added in intervals. It’s 75 minutes of sweat, fun and good music!
Barbell Soft offers straightforward and attainable strength training. In this class of maximum 20 participants, you get a complete workout using a barbell and free weights on the beat of cool and motivating music. With proper technique guidance, the instructor will help you develop your coordination, flexibility, strength, balance and stability. This session is ideal for people who want to resume work out after an injury or a break in sport activities.
With respect to a Barbell Classic or a Barbell Interval session, Barbell Soft is shorter (50 minutes) and caters for more recovery time between each set of exercises and more focus on technique.
Please note that these sessions have limited places (between 15-20 places maximum) so please show up early to ensure that you get a spot.
Please note that you need to arrive 15 minutes early at the JIMS Fitness Jourdan in order to participate in the session.
Also participants need to bring a padlock. Indeed using a locker is mandatory (and free of charge) since it is forbidden to store belongings (bottle of water excepted) in the Studio and Indoor Spinroom. This is an explicit requirement of JIMS and the reason is security.
