Nordic Walking

Walking is the most fundamental of all forms of physical activity.
Nordic Walking is an outdoor session, where you learn to walk with sticks/poles. It improves your fitness and is very effective dynamic strength exercise for the upper body. Bring your own poles or borrow a pair from us. Nordic Walking is a fun way to exercise in the open air!
We offer three different levels of Nordic Walking:
- Basic: for those who practise sports only very occasionally
- Medium: for those who practise sports once or twice a week
- Intensive: for those practise regularily (also known as Nordic Walking Adventure)
Have a look at our outdoor activities schedule for more information! For any further inquiries, contact our coordinator, Lene.

Please come and join us on a Saturday session and try it out basic or medium.

You can rent poles from us or take your own poles along.
Do I need to be member?
You can come and try, if you like it, well sign up and join us on a regular basis and keep fit!
What should I take along?
This is a workout, not a sunday walk in the park, so put sportclothes, 1/2 L water bottle and rain jacket. A small backpack will help out here, other bags will just bother you moving on.
Do I need sportshoes?
Yes, running shoes or light walking shoes are necessary to avoid injury to knees or back!
Does the weather matter?
No, this is the outdoor activity that can be done in all weather conditions, it’s just matter of putting on the right clothes! Nevertheless sessions could be cancelled in case of extreme weather conditions.
Can I walk with an umbrella?
You can’t because of the poles, so don’t forget your rain jacket.
Do I need to be fit?
There are different levels: basic for people who do very little sport, medium for people who have a regular sport activity and intensive Nordic Walking Adventure for people who practice sport on a regular basis.
